Okta Integration Guide

Overview

Connect your Okta account to Clazar to automatically identify SaaS applications used across your organization. Clazar uses the Okta API to detect all apps configured in your Okta environment, creating a unified application inventory, uncovering shadow IT, and enabling license optimization and security insights.

Connection Setup

Prerequisites

• Super Admin access to your Okta account.

Integration Steps

1. Log in to your Okta account with super admin access.

2. Navigate to Security -> API.

3. Under the "Token" tab, click on "Create Token".

   

4. Enter the token name and select "Any IP" from the list of origins from which API calls to this token will be made. After that, click "Create token".

   

5. Your token will be created successfully. Copy the API Key/Token Value generated.

   

6. Go to the Integrations page and select Okta in your Clazar app.

   

7. Click on the "Add Connection" button and fill in the details:

   1. Select the view permission as Clazar requires it to fetch application data from your Okta account.

   2. Enter your Okta domain. The Okta domain can be found by logging in to your company's Okta admin console. The URL is usually in the format: https://<your-okta-domain>.okta.com

   3. Paste the API Key copied earlier.

   4. Click "Connect".

      

8. Your connection will be visible in the Okta integrations details page.
