Set net payment terms on AWS private and reseller offers

Overview

Net payment terms are available on AWS private offers and AWS reseller offers. The term is the number of days between the date AWS issues an invoice and the date payment is due. Now a new Net Payment Terms section on both offer forms in Clazar platform holds the value.

Value it drives

  • Available terms: The Net Payment Terms dropdown contains 15 days, 30 days, 45 days, 60 days, 90 days, 120 days, and an option of Customer's net payment terms with AWS which will set the already existing payment terms the buyer has with AWS.

  • Maximum on reseller offers: On an AWS reseller offer the selected value is the longest term a channel partner can extend to the buyer. The channel partner can negotiate shorter terms in their private offer, but cannot exceed it.

  • CRM field mapping: Net Payment Terms is available as a mapped field for AWS private offers and AWS reseller offers, in both Salesforce and HubSpot. A value coming from your CRM sets the term on the offer.

  • Events and emails:

    The term is included in the offer creation events and in the offer notification emails for AWS private offers and reseller offers.

  • Contract detail: The AWS contract detail page shows the net payment terms on the accepted agreement.

How to get started

  1. Open an offer: On the Private Offers page, open a draft AWS offer or create a new one. A draft opens directly in edit mode.

  2. Select the term: In the Net Payment Terms section, select a value from the dropdown.

  3. Set the maximum on a reseller offer: On the Reseller Offers page, open an AWS reseller offer and select a value in its Net Payment Terms section.

  4. Publish the offer: Publish the offer to AWS Marketplace. The term is sent with the offer.

Things to note

  • Pay-by-invoice buyers: Net payment terms apply only to buyers who pay by invoice.

  • Changes after acceptance: The term cannot be changed after the buyer accepts the offer.
