Set contract durations up to 12 years on AWS private and reseller offers

Last updated: September 16, 2026

Overview

You can now set a contract duration of up to 12 years on AWS private offers and reseller offers, and build a payment schedule of up to 86 payments. Previously, SaaS and Professional Services offers capped the duration at five years, and AMI and container offers capped it at three years. A longer deal needed more than one offer.

Value it drives

  • Contract duration: The contract duration field on AWS private offers and reseller offers accepts up to 12 years.

  • Listing types: SaaS, AMI, Container and Professional Services offers all support the 12-year maximum.

  • Payment schedule: The payment schedule on an AWS private offer holds up to 86 scheduled payments.

How to get started

  1. Open a draft offer: On the Private Offers page, open a draft AWS offer or create a new one. A draft opens directly in edit mode.

  2. Set the contract duration: In the Offer Details section, enter the contract duration and select its unit. Values up to 12 years are accepted.

  4. Publish the offer: Publish the offer to AWS Marketplace.

Things to note

  • Duration units: SaaS, Professional Services and reseller offers set the term in months. AMI and container offers let you choose the unit. In days, the maximum is 4,380, the same term as 144 months.

  • Pay-as-you-go pricing: Pay-as-you-go offers have no contract duration, so the maximum does not apply to them.
