Cancel agreements and issue refunds on AWS Marketplace, right from Clazar

Last updated: July 27, 2026

Until now, cancelling an AWS Marketplace agreement or refunding a buyer meant raising a ticket with AWS support and waiting. Both are now self-service in Clazar.

Agreement cancellations

From the contract detail page, you can request cancellation of an active AWS Marketplace agreement. Pick a cancellation reason, submit, and the request goes to the buyer for approval. The contract shows a pending-cancellation indicator while the request is open, and the status updates in near real time as the buyer responds. Changed your mind? You can withdraw a pending request at any point before the buyer acts on it.

Billing adjustments (refunds)

Also on the contract detail page, you can now issue full or partial refunds against specific invoices. A guided flow shows you the eligible invoices with the maximum adjustable amount for each, lets you set the refund amount and reason, and submits it to AWS. Track every adjustment's status on the contract or on the new Billing Adjustments page, which gives you a single view across all contracts.

Good to know

  • Works for both direct private offers and channel partner (CPPO) agreements.
  • Refunds are available for invoices issued from January 2025 onward, within the last 36 months. Older invoices still go through AWS's refund request form.
  • Billing adjustments are irreversible once submitted — the flow asks you to confirm before it sends anything to AWS.
