Default Contacts: email visibility and dedicated Public Offer contacts
Last updated: July 30, 2026
We've made two improvements to the Default Contacts page in Settings that give you clarity and control over who receives Clazar's notification emails.
See which emails each contact set receives
Previously, there was no way to tell from the app which email notifications Clazar sends to the contacts configured under each category. The Default Contacts page now includes an Email Notifications column showing exactly which emails each row's contacts receive — for example, Offer Published, Offer Accepted, Contract Created, and Registration Details Updated — across private offers, public offers, reseller offers, and co-sell.
No more guessing which team gets notified when a deal moves: it's all visible at a glance.
Separate default contacts for public offers
Until now, emails triggered by public offer purchases — Contract Created and Registration Details Updated — were sent to your private offer default contacts, because no public offer contact category existed. If different teams handle self-service marketplace purchases and negotiated deals, the wrong team got emailed.
Public offers now have their own Public Offers default contact rows on the Default Contacts page, per cloud (AWS, Azure, and GCP). Configure the contacts who should receive public offer contract emails, and those emails will route to them — your private offer and reseller offer contacts are no longer used as a fallback for public offer activity.
How to set it up
- Go to Settings → Default Contacts.
- Review the new Email Notifications column to see which emails each category receives.
- Add contacts to the new Public Offers rows for each cloud where you sell via public offers.
If the Public Offers contact set is left empty, public offer contract emails are simply not sent to default contacts — they no longer fall back to your private offer team.
