1-Click Port (GCP Marketplace)

Last updated: August 8, 2025

Seamlessly migrate your GCP Marketplace operations to Clazar—no downtime, no loss of historical data, and a much smoother, improved experience.

Why Port to Clazar?

GCP Marketplace integration requires complex setup and ongoing maintenance. If you're using a third-party tool or an in-house solution, switching to Clazar offers a seamless and significantly improved experience with minimal fuss.

What Gets Ported

Clazar brings over all your historical and current data so it’ll feel like you’ve always used our platform:

  • Listings – All listing details auto-populated

  • Buyers – Complete data for current and past buyers

  • Contracts – Full visibility on all contracts

  • Metering Records – Full usage history imported

  • Private Offers – Every private offer you’ve created

  • Analytics Data – Revenue, disbursements, customer reports

  • Events – Backfilled Clazar-specific event artifacts for continuity

You can choose to port a single listing, multiple, or all your listings (analytics data is at the organization level; other data is per listing).

Process Overview

1. Keep Your Current Integration Live

  1. Grant Clazar the required permissions to access your GCP Marketplace resources.

  2. Clazar ports all your data within a few days and conducts integration tests to ensure everything works smoothly.

2. Switch Over When Ready

  1. Update the Technical Integration → Frontend URL to Clazar’s endpoint—new buyer signups through GCP will redirect to Clazar’s registration.

  2. Decommission your old integration and start metering usage via Clazar.

No Downtime at All

Your existing integration remains fully functional throughout the port. Clazar runs in parallel—only switching over when you're ready.

Timeline & Effort

  • Engineering effort required: Minimal—only two short meetings (~30 minutes each: kickoff and wrap-up).

  • Port duration: Typically from under 12 hours to 3–4 days, depending on your current integration complexity.

What We Need from You

Before proceeding, you’ll need to provide:

  • Project ID (e.g., your-company-public)

  • Project Number (12-digit ID)

  • Marketplace Service Account Email used for your current technical integration

  • GCP Reports Bucket Name where marketplace reports are stored

Data Sources

Clazar pulls all data directly from GCP Marketplace APIs and your analytics — your current solution merely accesses this data. That ensures a fully accurate, historical porting process.
