How to Set Up Your Amazon Payee Central Account
Last updated: August 2, 2026
Amazon Payee Central is the account AWS Partners use to receive purchase orders and AWS funding disbursements. This guide walks you through requesting access, completing setup, and logging in for the first time.
🔗 Required for AWS ISV Accelerate: Completing your Amazon Payee Central setup is one of the eligibility requirements for the AWS ISV Accelerate Program — partners must have Payee Central set up to qualify. It is also how AWS disburses the co-sell incentives and cash funding tied to the program, such as Marketing Development Funds (MDF) and Partner Opportunity Acceleration (POA) funds. AWS routes these payouts through Payee Central: it issues a Purchase Order (PO) and you submit invoices against it (Net 30 payment terms). See the AWS ISV Accelerate Program Guide for the full eligibility checklist.
📌 Good to know: The Payee Central contact (the admin you provide) is the person who will receive the purchase orders when activities in the platform reach claimable status. Choose this person accordingly.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to receive the Amazon Payee Central invitation?
AWS sends the Payee Central invitation within two business days of your support case submission. The invitation comes from amazon-payee-central@amazon.com with the subject “Welcome to Amazon Payee Central.” If it hasn’t arrived within two business days, check your spam or junk folder.
Who should be listed as the Payee Central admin?
The admin you provide is the person who will receive purchase orders once your activities reach claimable status. Choose someone in your finance or operations team who should own incoming purchase orders and invoicing. Access can be delegated to additional users later, so different people can manage banking details and submit invoices.
Is Amazon Payee Central required for the AWS ISV Accelerate Program?
Yes. Having Amazon Payee Central set up is one of the eligibility requirements on the AWS ISV Accelerate Requirements Checklist, so partners must complete it to qualify for the program. A completed Payee Central account is also how AWS disburses the cash funding and co-sell incentives tied to ISV Accelerate — including Marketing Development Funds (MDF) and Partner Opportunity Acceleration (POA) funds — so approved funds cannot be paid out until your account is active. See the AWS ISV Accelerate Program Guide for the full checklist.
What information do I need to set up Payee Central?
To open the request, you need your company region, legal entity, admin name, admin email, and country. To finalize the account after you receive the invitation, you complete bank account registration and a tax interview at payeecentral.amazon.com.
What should I do if the invitation email doesn’t arrive?
First, check your spam or junk folder for a message from amazon-payee-central@amazon.com. If it still hasn’t arrived within two business days of your case submission, reply to any follow-up from APN Support, or contact your AWS Partner Development Manager (PDM) to confirm the invitation was sent.
How do I receive funds after my Payee Central account is set up?
After a funding claim is approved, AWS issues a Purchase Order (PO) to the contact provided during approval. You then submit an invoice against that PO in Amazon Payee Central. Approved cash claims are paid on Net 30 terms.
