1-Click Port (Azure Marketplace)
Last updated: August 8, 2025
Seamlessly migrate your Azure Marketplace operations to Clazar—no downtime and no loss of historical data.
Why Port to Clazar?
Integrating with Azure Marketplace can be complex and time-consuming. Whether you're using a third-party tool or an in-house solution, Clazar lets you switch seamlessly—improving the experience without interrupting your business.
What Gets Ported
Clazar brings over all of your historical and current data, so it’ll feel like you've always been on the platform:
Listings – All listing details auto-filled
Buyers – Current and past buyers with complete data
Contracts – All past and present contracts visible
Metering Records – Complete usage history imported
Private Offers – Every offer you've ever created
Analytics Data – Revenue, disbursements, customer reports
Events – Clazar-specific event artifacts backfilled for continuity
The Porting Process
1. No Changes to Your Current Integration
User Invite: Invite Clazar’s service account to your Partner Center and grant the Developer role.
Federated Credentials: Use Azure workload identity federation—more secure than client secrets.
2. When You’re Ready to Switch
Landing Page URL: Update the URL users are directed to after acquiring your offer—this enables provisioning with a token.
Metering Integration: Turn off the old integration and start metering through Clazar.
Webhook URL: Add your Clazar webhook URL to receive asynchronous event notifications (e.g., subscription cancellations).
3. No Downtime
Your current integration stays live throughout. Clazar runs in the background until you're ready to transition—for a completely unnoticed changeover.
Timeline & Effort
Engineering work required from your side: Minimal—just two short 30-minute meetings (kickoff and wrap-up).
Typical port duration: Anywhere from under 12 hours to 3–4 days, depending on your setup.
What We Need from You
Tenant ID: Your Azure Marketplace directory (tenant) ID.
Application ID: The app ID associated with your listing’s technical setup.
Data Sources
All data lives in Azure and is pulled directly via Azure Marketplace APIs. Since most integrations merely surface existing data, Clazar can replicate your full history seamlessly and accurately.
